I have a short chapter 6 from my story A Quest for Love and I am working on chapter 7 now. I hope you aren’ttiring of this yet. I have been reading Sarah’s ( moonlight_dreams ) story and it is very good. I only read the latest chapter and was anxious for more.

Well, here it is… chapter 6
Chapter 6 – Things Don’t Always Work As You’d Hope
Jen never saw him so left a bit disappointed. Then things went from bad to worse. Her vehicle, the means to Shiothore, was broken! She felt so helpless and truly had no other way of contacting Smaug. This was quite disconcerting because she had felt a connection developing with Smaug (and his teacher alter ego) each time she had a conversation with him. Since she had hoped for a bit more than a friendship, not being able to get there and worse, having no other means of contacting him, made her feel she was losing him. Even though she could not honestly say she had ‘won’ him as yet anyway. That was her goal after all.
She was able to get there only infrequently and for very short stays for about a month and this meant another ‘admirer’ of this wonderful dragon had much more time to gain his affection and this troubled Jen a lot. Not only because she had hopes of being the one to love him and receive his love in return, but she did not trust this other one much either. She felt he would be hurt by her. That seemed odd, that this strong, magnificent creature could be hurt by someone, anyone. She still felt his heart would be broken, after all, even dragons need someone they can trust to hold their heart with care.
Smaug was now playing almost exclusively with the one female partner and she had become extremely possessive of him. It was difficult for Jen to see him allow anyone to treat him in this way. She felt less like going for a while now. She did continue to work on the means of getting there and with persistence she was able to get a new vehicle and started showing up regularly again to play in Shiothore. She rarely if ever saw him there as the teacher. Only as Smaug and occasionally, she thought she might be seeing him as another identity, but she was not certain. She had to think that if that was the case, he was hiding for a brief time of fun without his female partner. Another thought crossed her mind…. He might be less hiding but more watching this new partner out of distrust. He might have felt he needed to check on how she conducted herself when she was not aware that he was there. Hmmmmm….
