  • Puffy White Clouds

the day has been windy and warm but not hot

making me thankful for the things that i’ve got

i look up as i lie on the lounge chair in ease

and see puffy white clouds and feel the cooling breeze

    what a nice day

Rest assured, I didn’t lounge long, but while I did, it was inspiring!  *sigh*  AS a matter of fact, part of the time I was out there I was on K.P. duty!  I peeled a kettle full of potatoes so I could make potato salad for dinner, whilst sitting in the sun.  I believe I read a scripture mentioning ‘redeeming the time…’  Now I am aware it meant to use time wisely for reaching lost ones and I hope to accurately follow the example of the writer, but in using the time to peel and sun, that leaves me more time for the other as well, no?

I’ve also been picking and pitting cherries… now… what to do with ‘em???  I’ve already been beggin’ craktpot for her recipes.  lol  I hope to use them before I lose them.  Not sure how long they keep.  I’ve never before had a cherry tree of my very own.  Believe this, I’ve already eaten a good number of them!

I hope you all had as nice a day for Memorial Day as I had.  I hope you remembered and showed graditude for the sacrifices made.  I hope you enjoyed family or quiet time alone, if that’s what you needed.  I hope your week is a good one, full of warm fuzzy’s from friends and family.  I have faith these things are so.

  • I like your poem about the white clouds . You are lucky to already have cherries . It ‘ s a time so precious . There is an old french song ” cherries time ” written in 1870 . It is wonderful .

  • That sounds marvelous, peeling potatoes in the sun. What a way to make a cooking chore fun!! AND don’t get me started on Potatoe salad!! If I had the money I would fly to your jouse just to have some, If I were invited that is  :) I love me some potatoes.

Isn’t cherry picking fun! Back at home we used to make a day or two out of it. We would have our friends over to help as well. And then when we were done we would sit back and look at all the tub and pans full of cherries. I would eat ‘em until I made myself sick. AH, those were the days…

Okay so I am going to go blog now so that I do not receive a message from Deb, in regards to her above blog  :)
