Happy Memorial Day And God Bless all the countries where good men and women have fought to defend the life and liberty and freedoms of it’s peoples. I appreciate those who are willing to deny themselves and their families some of the things others take for granted, like being together on the holidays, seeing each other at all for long stretches of time and even permanently being separated becasue they lose their lives. They did it all due to the love of their country and because of the love for their families. I want to say to them or to the loved ones who no longer have them to talk with or hug,
Thank YOU!
I have used www.snopes.com for several years now to go look up a specific topic that I was emailed, thereby not propagating false information or forwarding emails that are a hoax from the start. Then I went to look for something this morning (Sunday actually) and ended up finding a number of other interesting things. So today, this is the hodgepodge post, things I found out that others may or may not know.
The first thing I began reading about was the fellow who supposedly (According to the email that circulated) was fired for
posting a huge number of maps of the protected wildlife sanctuary in the ANWR, Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. He claimed at the start he was fired and his site with all the maps was removed due to the Bush administration being determined to drill for oil there and as it shows on the page link below, he was up for contract renewal before he posted this information and his contract was already going to be dropped. Other things played in to the decision to drop him, not related to the oil issue at all. Anyway, I found it interesting, so here is the link:

This one is cute, I like animals and I can imagine this being a fun thing to spread about the little formal-looking, non-aerial birds, but it’s not provable. Check out the next link for more on this slippery story…

This one was humorous to me. I mean, I liked Star Wars too, but really… marking your religion on the census form to read ‘Jedi Knight’ won’t make it a nationally recognized religion. heh heh Take a look:

You guys can check out the snopes page for other fun stuff. Let me know what you find. Much of it is interesting, most is helpful when verifying things that you get in email, and some is plain ole fun.

I don’ t what to think about that Deb . But I know the world will be missing of oil soon . And think the Man has destroyed the Nature for centuries . ( see Africa and Amazonia ) and pollutes more and more .
I have transmitted to Janine your compliments .
