I have been effected by the loss suffered this week by Lynn & Wayne and I know Mike has been as well. I only met Max and saw him a couple times while in Whitby, but he was a wonderful and beautiful animal. I know they will miss him for a long time. I am so glad they got to stay with him as he went to sleep. He had been suffering and they said he went peacefully to sleep as they talked softly to him and petted him good-bye. Ok I must go on or cry. I hate the good bye thing.

I have been very thankful today. I went to the hospital on my way home to see a former co-worker who just had surgery yesterday. He had to have about 10 inches of his colon/lower intestine removed. He also had a biopsy of his liver done & it is malignant cancer.
The thankful part is that I spent a lot of time praying for Mike before he went in because I could tell he was concerned that they would find the 20 % they told him about.. that it COULD be a tumor. I am so very grateful our prayers were heard and he is fine. I mean, I just found him and cannot imagine … well, anyway, ‘thankful’ is the word of the day.
I have not gotten as far on chapter 7 as I hoped so here is a poem I wrote last week. I’ll try to get chapter 7 done this weekend. Although someone seems to be keeping me busy picking hockey sheets for his class! lol

here is the poem..
For Time & Eternity
I see the sunrise filter light across the sleepy land
across peaks and valleys alike it shines
Day after day it rises, awaking all creatures
with warmth it touches the vines
of morning glories, which open and share
their fragrance for all to enjoy
It plays upon the faces of animals and people
As if we were all it’s own little toy
For all time as we know it the sun so strong
has risen and set each day
bringing light and warmth and inspiring verse
and song in hearts and minds along the way
It makes me feel that all things are
as they ought to be, for I know
this is the plan of an Almighty One
This is how He meant it to go
So just as I trust Him to make the sun rise
And as surely as it sets in the evening
I also know that between our two hearts
a wonderful plan He is weaving
More love than either of us could have alone
So much more than could be desired
and I know this love will last and last
as it is molded, shaped and then fired.
There are vessels that have been fired and proved
and so has our love so far stood
just like precious metals of silver & gold
not hay, nor stubble, nor wood.
For those things will all be consumed by the flames
of difficulty and adversity
Our love will withstand and yes
even be made stronger… for Time & Eternity
thank you Mikey, you are an inspiration…
